Serpent Heart is a small Istanbul jewellery house, founded on the belief that stone, pearl and silver — chosen with care — need very little else.
Materials
What we work with, and why.
Every Serpent Heart bracelet is composed of authenticated semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls and Sterling 925 silver. Our turquoise is sourced within the covered bazaars of Istanbul — a city we know intimately — and vetted for provenance and quality.
Pieces are hand-strung and finished in our Istanbul atelier. Small runs, considered edits, no compromise on the stones.
Heritage
A vocabulary from older civilisations.
Turkey sits at the meeting point of continents and eras. The collection borrows freely from the ornament of Anatolia, Byzantium and the Ottoman court, and translates it into something contemporary and restrained.
The pieces are unisex by design. Predominantly worn by women, they are equally at home on a man's wrist.
The Designer
Gökhan Sakmac
Designer and founder of Serpent Heart. Based in Istanbul, Gökhan works quietly and slowly, sourcing stones himself and stringing each collection by hand.
Bespoke commissions are welcomed in limited number each season.
